MWMCA MINORITY OUTREACH FAIR AT LIVE! CASINO & HOTEL MARYLAND BRINGS SMALL, MINORITY AND WOMAN-OWNED BUSINESSES TOGETHER FOR CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES

Hanover, MD (July 22, 2025) – The Cordish Companies’ Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland partnered with the Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA) to host the 25th Minority Outreach Fair last week. The event brought together small, minority- and women-owned businesses to facilitate meetings with top prime companies throughout the region and assist them in identifying work and/or contractual opportunities. Since its inception in 2012, the event has provided the foundation for small, minority and women-owned firms to secure work. This biannual fair aims to promote networking, locate small business resources, and foster new partnerships.
“Our goal at MWMCA is to help women- and minority-owned businesses in the region overcome the challenges of identifying and gaining access to business opportunities by supporting their endeavors to explore valuable and worthwhile information,” shared Wayne Frazier, President of the MWMCA. “Events like the Minority Outreach Fair seek to even the playing field and provide equitable access for significant contract prospects to dedicated local business owners. Partnering with The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland for this event year after year offers us a venue to bring businesses and exhibitors together to break down barriers and progress in our common mission.”
This Minority Outreach Fair took place at the Event Center at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Attendees met and networked with some of the region’s top prime businesses including Bowie State University, Constellation, Johns Hopkins University, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, MedStar Health, M&T Bank, St. Mary’s College of MD, Loyola University of Maryland, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), University of Maryland Medical System, and more.
