Utility Firms Increase Spending With Minority-Owned Firms But Improvement is Still Needed

Maryland’s Public Service Commission

Maryland's Public Service Commission held its annual Public Conference -16 MOU Diverse Supplier/Minority Business Enterprise public hearing on July 8, 2014 and some improvement in spending with said firms was noted, but overall vast improvement is needed to reach the state of Maryland's new spending goal of 29% . Delegate Barbara Robinson, 40th District vowels to create spending law for utilities during 2015 General Assembly because after five years operating under the MOU most public utility companies are not meeting their goals.
