2012 Minority and Women-Owned Business Expo and Symposium Has Been Rescheduled To Friday, November 9, 2012 Due To Hurricane Sandy

Sponsors, Exhibitors, Event Attendees and Everyone:

 

MWMCA has rescheduled the 2012 Minority and Women-Owned Business Expo and Symposium to Friday, November 9, 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy. We are notifying everyone now of the rescheduling date because we do not want anyone to attempt to travel in any types of catastrophic weather conditions, everyone’s safety is our number one priority. All event details and pricing will stay the same; basically we’re only changing the date due to the hurricane.

However, there are a few other changes as noted below:

 

Lunch Reservations


All lunch reservations that were made originally have now been moved to the rescheduled event day of Friday, November 9, 2012. If you made a lunch reservation and now want to cancel the reservation please contact Tamikka Pogue at 410-694-0808 ext. 5115.

 

Overnight Accommodations for Event Participants

 

If you made a reservation for overnight accommodations to stay at the BWI Hilton the day before the originally scheduled event date, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, the venue the BWI Hilton has already confirmed the following:

 

Any reservations made for overnight accommodations will be automatically moved to the day before the rescheduled date of the event, Thursday, November 8, 2012. So, instead of your overnight accommodations being on Tuesday, October 30, the reservation will be moved to Thursday, November 8, 2012 because event day has been rescheduled to Friday, November 9, 2012. There will be no additional cost because of this change. If for some reason you need to cancel your reservation altogether at the BWI Hilton please contact Tamikka Pogue 410-694-0808 ext. 5115, otherwise the reservation will be moved to November 8, 2012 which is the day before the event. If you have made reservations at any other hotels please contact them right away to make an adjustment on the date.

 

Exhibitors Who Have Shipped or Want to Ship Exhibit Materials

 

If you have shipped exhibit materials already, the materials will automatically be held until event day Friday, November 9, 2012 and will be placed at your designated exhibit area on event day.

 

If you have already shipped your exhibit materials in anticipation of the original event day of 10/31/12 and have now decided that you want to have your exhibit materials shipped back to you, then you must make those arrangements. Contact Tamikka Pogue 410-694-0808 ext. 5115.

 

If exhibitors want to ship anything new to the Hilton, it must be received at least one week prior to the event reschedule date of Friday, November 9, 2012, please tag it and mark it appropriately with the event name, “2012 Minority and Women-Owned Business Expo and Symposium, ship to address is:

Day Before Move In/Set-up on Thursday, November 8, 2012


Exhibitors can move in/set-up on Thursday, November 8, 2012, the day before the event, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM.  However, On Friday, November 9, 2012, event day, you can still move in/set-up and bring your materials in between 5:00am-7:00am to set up your booth/table. Your exhibit table must be setup by 7:00am on event day. Our attendees are scheduled to arrive at 7:30am and usually a number of attendees come earlier, so we want all exhibitor tables set up and ready. A continental breakfast will be there for you.
