Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA) places an extreme amount of pride in advocating for Economic Diversity Inclusion throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and understanding that there are certain luminaries within government or private corporate c-suites that make a world of difference in outcomes. One such individual is Emmett T. Vaughn, Director- Office of Diverse Business Empowerment, for Exelon Corporation. “Emmett, is the best of the best diverse supplier leaders in America and we are very proud that he provides strong leadership throughout Exelon,” said Wayne R. Frazier, Sr., president of MWMCA.  Exelon is a Fortune 100 energy company with the largest number of utility customers in the U.S. Exelon does business in 48 states, District of Columbia, and Canada with 2016 revenues of $31.4 billion and just over 34,396 employees.

Because of Exelon’s prominent role in America and specifically the Mid-Atlantic region and the fact that they do so well with educating and procuring with diverse suppliers we thought it would be ideal for us to catch up with Mr. Vaughn to see how progress is coming. Please read, learn, and enjoy his responses to several questions we raised.
